Copywriting/Creative Direction/Information Architecture/Content Development: Chromalloy is a billion dollar global technology company. They design and repair complex parts for gas turbine engines – the same engines that fly airplanes, generate electricity and power aircraft carriers.
We led Chromalloy’s rebranding effort, developing strategy and creative from global photo shoots and ad campaigns to web development and more. The effort helped unify and focus the company worldwide.
To build on that success, we searched for new, compelling ways to tell the Chromalloy story. We focused on tradeshow environments and decided to create a multi-screen, multi-touch project that would allow visitors to explore the Chromalloy brand in their own unique way. The team built the presentation with ActionScript 3.0 and Flash using Flash Builder, Adobe Air and SVN (Subversion). In addition to the standard array of hardware, we used PQ Labs’ multi-touch screen overlays.
The interactivity allowed users to virtually visit any Chromalloy location around the world, search for engine models and dig into capabilities. They could view videos and see the company in action.
The project was a major draw from Madrid to Las Vegas. It functioned as an informational tool for the sales team. And, most importantly, it allowed Chromalloy customers to interact with the brand in a unique, memorable way.
